I have an Acer Aspire 5630 laptop with Windows Vista. I have got the Norton Internet Security but whilst on Internet Explorer yesterday, a virus somehow got through Norton and now every 5 - 10 seconds an error message comes up saying something like "Windows Internet Explorer has stoped working" and then another error message comes up saying "Windows Explorer is restarting".
Then my screen sort of flashes and is just on the desktop screen so anything I stared opening is closed down.
the only thing that it dosn'tseem to close is Windows Internet Explorer, (which is why I am able to write this plea for help)

Is there anything I can do to get rid of this virus or anything I can download that will get rid of this?
Has anyone even experienced or heard of these problems?
Someone please help!!!

Scan you're computer using Norton. If you have a virus, it should pick it up. But honestly, I seriously doubt you have one. From the sound of it, you have a simple software problem or perhaps spyware. Download and run(preferably in Safe Mode) Spybot Search and Destroy, Adaware, and HiJackThis. When you run HighJackThis, be sure and save the initial log then post it here.

Ive ran a scan with norton but it cannot find the virus.
When I first open Internet Browser I get a message that comes up saying:
"Warning!
W32.Myzor.FK@yf is a virus that infects files with .exe extensions. It attempts to steal passwords and private information from the infected computer."
Then says some other stuff about the type and size ect.
And the "Windows Explorer has stopped working" message is still coming up every 5 seconds.
