Okay i have a question i was wondering i can get answered on here. Okay so what happens is when im on my dads computer it randomly shuts down out of no where and you need to unplug it and then plug it back in, in order for it to turn back on. This happens while doing anything. Msn, browsing the internet etc. By all means its not the best computer. It was built at a shop about 4 years ago, and at the time the guy said it has some of the best hardware at the time. So, we figure it was overheating and shutting off on us, so we took off the side and had an industrial fan blowing on it all day just so we could use it, but then it STILL shuts off on us. So i think we proved that it wasnt overheating. Today my dad took the cover off of the power supply and he informed me that it is running much better now and hasnt shut down on him since. So could there be something wrong with the power supply thats making it shut off? Possibly overheating? If anyone has any idea i would appreciate any help at all. Thank you!
Computer specs from what i remember
-Gigabyte motherboard
-256 mb ram
-Radeon 128mb Video card
-Pentium 4 2.4ghz
I was thinking it doesnt have enough ram for todays standards.
