Help Prcessor upgrade

hello i could you use some help please i am not new to computers i can upgrade the basics i know quit a bit about the inside but my old computer gots pawned and i losts it and my freinds gave me a free one it is

Hp Pavilion XT963

Intel Celeron 1.2 GHz Processor

And i read up on how to upgrade it but i do not know witchs ones will fit
im in the middle of redoing the hole computer but i ran across this delima

I Used to have a AMD 3800
i do not know to much about he processors could someone tell the the very best once i could get please i don't know

I liked AMD
I heard Intel Pentium 4

And I THink Celeron sucks thats all i know

If you want you can upgrade the Motherboard. that will open up more options as to what processor you can put into it.

Best thing to do is upgrade the motherboard with an Intel D Socket type. AMD 939 or AM2 socket. gives you more options and higher supported BUS speeds.

Right, his Hp Pavilion XT963 has a socket 370 with a old Intel 810e chipset. Max memory is 512mbs. of PC-100
