i have an old gateway p5-75...it has a 2Gb hd...80Mb edo ram...an evergreen spectra 400 (an AMD k6-2 400Mhz with a compatibility socket)...all i know about the mobo is that it is a baby-at board...the last time it worked it had a cd-rw drive and a cd drive...it ran win 98se...it has a Ati rage II (i think it was either 8 or 4 MB)

the last time i had problem with it configuration under win 98se...now when u start up power goes to everthing but the screen remains in power saving mode...it flashes when i press the computer power button as if it responded to the mobo but then it just goes into power saving and the keyboard light flashes then stops responding also at start up....i really like this system although it isn't one of any speed or so forth...i just want to fix it up back so i can have a back up comp...i wouldnt want to spend anything much on these repairs...i already have all tools needed for repairs...

all help thanked!!!

1. Whats the exact make/model of the motherboard if you can find out
2. Have you tested the individual components? (RAM, mobo, CPU, video, psu)

i've checked the RAM...PSU...
i know nothing about the mobo...
i have to wait for a socket 5/7 to test the CPU and video...
if anybody knows anything about the gateway p5-75 please post...

maybe the first one under the socket 5's but there's no pic...the mobo did ran 66Mhz bus under the 5
