Help replacing PCM board on HDD

Hello everyone.

I have a hdd that I believe the PCM board went bad. I want to replace it
and have a hard time finding the exact same one I need.
I can't remember which of the numbers are vital for it to work.

the drive is: wd3200bevt- 60zct1 and I have found matching parts but the DCM I cannot get to match. How important is that number and why?

The other number on the board is also a match with the one I found on ebay, just not the DCM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks a lot,

You almost certainly won't be able to, even if you sent it to WD themselves, the chances of them getting a working one are slim to none. Each board is different and unique to the drive, and it isn't just in manufacturing, it is in use of the drive, it becomes more and more unique because the drives store adaptive data on storage on the PCB, without this the drive won't work properly.

Also, the DCM isn't that good a guide line for compatibility, for the above reasons, but if the numbers don't match, you make the chances of success just about certainly equal to 0
