HELP! Right desktop for HD video editing

hello, newbie here and I've been lurking around your forum a couple of days now looking for an answer without any luck. I recently bought a canon sx1is, point and shoot camera for two reasons. 1) point and shoot with dslr type cmos processor (4 frames per second at 10 megapixels) for my son's football games. 2) True 1080p video recording at 30 fps. Now the issue im running into is buying the right desktop to play/edit my 1080p video clips. I know, I know, I could build a desktop that would be perfect for what i want to do, but building a computer now is totally out of the question. the two desktops I was looking at were
HP Pavilion p6340f
•Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400
•8 GB RAM Ddr3
•1 Tb Hard Drive
•Intel Gma X4500 Graphics
•Win 7 Premium
HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f
•AMD Phenom 11 945 Quad-Core Prcsr
•8 GB RAM Ddr3
•1 Tebabyte Hard Drive
•ATI Radeon HD 5450
I took my sd card to the store and watched my 1080p clips on both and the computer with the integrated graphics card was the only one that played the clips glitch free.? The other computer would play the clips but was pixelated and looked like the file was corrupt.? So I tested my sd card on the other computers also and the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-240f w/ •ATI Radeon HD 5570 was also pixelated and the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-270f w/ •ATI Radeon HD 5770 also was too.??? the only other computer that would play my clips was the HP Pavilion AY022AA Desktop Computer - 1 x Core i3 530 2.93 GHz 6 GB DDR3 SDRAM - 1 TB HDD w/ integrated graphics also.?????? Now i wont be doing any gaming, just editing so do i need a dedicated graphics card for my HD editing? i'll be using corel video pro x3. Money is an issue! The MOST i was going to spend was HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f BK169AA Desktop Computer - 1 x Phenom II X4 945 3 GHz sale price 869.99 (nebraska furniture mart, 32 mo. interest free financing), but if one of the cheaper ones will do then GREAT! I know i just kept rambling on, but i've been looking at desktops for months now and am about ready to make the purchase. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. thanks again, Ray.
 
$900 at the very most. My other problem is this. The money we have is already spoken for, vacation,football camps, school fees..... so the wife and I came to agreed to let me charge a computer on our Nebraska furniture mart credit card ( 32 mos. Interest free ). And yes we have a hp laptop we love and it just so happens that's what nfm carries.
 
Take into consideration that I am currently using a 6 year old single core emachine and corel video pro x2 to edit my standard definition videos now and am very pleased with the results. Had I not upgraded to 1080p I would still want a newer, better computer but would stay with my emachine another year or two.
 
That's what i was thinking also. The HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f has a dedicated graphics card, but a AMD Phenom 11 945 Quad-Core Prcsr ( i've heard from sales people the Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 is better than AMD) and can't play my 1080p clips. The HP Pavilion p6340f has integrated graphics card, but has no problem playing my 1080p clips. What's up with that? Lets say the processors are equal do you think i would NEED a dedicated card or could i do fine without it?
 
FuryRosewood i would like to know that myself. One salesman said it could be codex. Another said it could be the cable (dvi) from the tower to the monitor (none of which were 1080p) and another said it could be hp and/or drivers for dedicated graphics cards.
