help suggest quit fan

i noticed in my bios there is an option for quit fan. My computer sounds like a rocket, Can anyone please send me a link to a fair priced quit cpu fan. Im scared to look on my own and buy the wrong part. I have an intel 2.3 Ghz core 2 duo, i think socket 775. I actually already bought a fan controller but cant figure out how to use it. There was one with knobs for each fan, which was even cheaper, but i went for a digital one that you have to program and i dont understand the instructions.
 
Do you need a fan or a heatsink? If you need a quiet fan or a quiet heatsink? If you need fan, look into the Noctua 120mm fan, Nexux Quite 120mm fan and the Scythe Flex 800rpm 120mm fan. They're widely considered the 3 quietest 120mm fans available. If you need a quiet heatsink, take a look at the Scythe Ninja.
 
Thank you for the suggestions. I didnt even know that heatsinks made noise. If possible id try to avoid replacing the heatsink, would these fans be compatible with most any heat sink, if not mine, i wouldnt mine supergluing it (done it before and worked fine).
 
What heatsink do you have?

And I didn't mean that the heatsink itself made noise, I was referring to the heatsink fan.
