Help! System Recovery

I just gotta new laptop (see signature)...and it kept telling me to make a recovery disk from dvds...so i finally decided to and it wont let me....i put the dv d in and tell it to burn it an dit wont open the "Acer Empowering Technology" thing....My system restore doesnt work either...what can i do to reinstall or get it back to factory settings without returning and exchanging it

if you wanna do a system restore on this system press Alt+F10 at the bios splash screen (when it shows the Acer logo). its best to press the combination lots of times as sometimes it wont always work first time.
Then, when the system recovery thing appears choose factory image... its the best way to do a restore in my opinion because it works so quickly
