Help upgrade this computer!

Well, if you can get your hands on a copy of XP x64 or Vista x64, you can upgrade to 4GB of ram.
You can also drop in a cheap, but still powerful ATi HD4770 video card.

You can put RAM and a graphics card in it.

That is old hardware, but it may work for what you need.
I've never played those games, but that pc will go up to 4Gigs
of RAM, although very slow DDR2. (400/533Mhz)

DDR2 RAM is very cheap right now so you're in luck. That board
has 4 DIMMS for RAM, so I would get 1Gig sticks.

I recommend this graphics card. It doesn't take much to run either of those
games, from what I've just read, and this card will play almost anything.

Sounds awesome =] Do i need to worry if the graphics card is only 128 bit? Any idea of a power supply that can handle this new power?

Thank You

Why would you worry about it being 128bit? Those games are not that demanding. They both require much lesser cards.

You shouldn't need a PSU upgrade with that card.

Thank you for all the help. I have one last question. There is this giant, bulky, plastic thing sitting on top of my cpu. No cpu fan or anything, it is just sitting on it and seems like a waste of space...

That is the fan shroud. Your fan is mounted to the back of your case,
and the shroud guides air over your CPU heatsink. Do NOT remove it. :)

You could try to find an aftermarket cooler for that socket, but idk if
you'd have any luck. I would just add another fan to the front of the case.
It's very important that you don't run the pc without that shroud.

I really wouldn't chance a used GPU. Save $30 and it could go out in
a month, and then you have no warranty. That's just me though.

I see what your saying though about the shroud for the cpu. Ive just seen people with fans on their cpu and it looks like it saves so much space and gives the computer room to breath, which is why I was wondering if I could replace it.

Thank You for helping me with all of this, its great =]
