I need help... earlier I put together a computer for myself, the assembly went smooth, but when I turn on the computer; there is no picture on my screen. I'm using an ASUS mother board that support PCI-E. The graphic card that I'm using is the Gefore 6600 GT. Anyone know what could've cause the screen to not have any picture?

are you sre everything is plugged in correctly? nothing loose?

btw dont tripplle post, i hope it was only an accident

yes the triple post was an accident. When you mean everything.. u meant mobo, hd, cd-rom, ram, pcu, processor.. right? if u meant those, then yea. When I power the computer my mobo led light turn green. Not only that my fan on the graphic card spins, the cd-rom works computer fan work.. i dont really know why I am not getting anything on the screen

well when the video card is plug into the mobo, Looking down onto the video card I see a yellow strip, does something go onto that from the PCU?

ok it's not the video card.. now about the atx12v... where do i get the plug for that? i'm new at this sorry for the inconvience.

The PCI-E 6600GT does not use external power.

The ATX12V looks like this:

That plug on the PSU should plug into the motherboard.

thanks everyone, and thank you ceew1 for the picture. Yea it was that plug that I didn't plug it. Well another question for you guys. I just finish with bios also just format my hard drive. Now do I just put in an OS cd and reboot the computer? It should allow me to install OS right after right?

Yes. In the BIOS you'll need to ensure that the CD-ROM is set as the first boot device. Then just insert the CD, and follow the instructions.
