Help Virus

Yesterday, I had some major problems with a program slowing down my computer and numerous warnings from my anti-virus program. I ran a scan an it found over fifty files. I thought that I had it cleared, but today warnings poped up twice saying that it found "Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Small.dam" Does anybody have a clue why this keeps showing up, and why I can't get rid of it for good? Also, I have no other symptoms today.

You somehow managed to get a good one there. Besides the usual recommendation for getting HiJack This and posting a log you may want to look over the detailed information on that trojan. http://research.sunbelt-software.co...jan-Downloader.Win32.Small.dam&threatid=46116

The first thing to do there is review the various file names and see if your present antivirus program shows the location(s). You want to locate and remove the host file. Once you see that removed the doorway for the other crap downloaded without your knowing is then removed. Symantec has a pair of online scanners at http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/...d=22&pkj=NCGSCKMRKRFPECDMEYI&setjsax=1&bhcp=1

An online trojan scanner is found at Ewido.net now owned by Grisoft. http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ Look on the left side of the screen where the guy sits there for the "scan now" option. What programs for virus and spyware removal are you currently running?
