My current set up is a crappy
-dell 530s
-1 GB ram
-intel pentium dual processor @1.6Ghz
-250 GB hard drive
-windows vista home basic
-some shitty motherboard

I edit videos and photos with sony vegas, adobe after effects and photoshop,my neighbor has an acer laptop and its better than mine
2.0Ghz processor,4GB RAM,windows home premium and it can render just fine but my crappy computer renders video's all choppy and sometimes pixelated or it lags a bunch so I know I don't need some mega parts on mine
so I want to get a faster processor bigger RAM a new mobo, and windows 7 home premium
something like a quadcore [email protected] and idk what motherboard(clueless there)4GB-6GB of RAM and I know where to get windows 7(my local bestbuy)I was thinking of ordering the parts from newegg but im not sure what parts are compatible with my computer
would anything else be necessary
i don't really care about my graphics card (don't care much for super good image quality since I don't game at all) or my hard drive(I still have about 150 Gb left on my hard drive)so the parts I listed are pretty much all I want

can you guys please help me so I can get some parts for Christmas?
:D
I would appreciate any help guys thanks
:)

True that. It's actually cheaper from a couple of other stores as well, though not enough to be worth the trouble of setting up another account. Like $5 at most.

Although, if you're a student, Windows 7 Pro is $65 right now...less than half the usual price.

As soon as you tell us what that $500 has to buy. :)

Does that include the price of the tower only, or the OS/mouse/keyboard/monitor/speakers?
