Help-Wireless internet connection problem

Hello to all,

OK basically I am having wireless internet connection problems. I am using a Belkin 54g, the connection is found and connects, but web pages do not display. It is not the router itself as this also happens when I tried a different one. Connecting through a modem works perfectly fine. The DHCP has been checked and is on, I have reset the router settings and it makes no difference. I then thought it may be a DNS problem, I have flushed it using command prompt and reset it etc and has still done nothing. I am completely stumped. Command prompt returns this when pinging...

I have posted this elsewhere and only got the response:

"your computer or laptop is not getting assigned proper ip address"

which is all well and good, but how do i fix this? and why is it happening?
Networking isn't really my strong area, but I work well with computers and can follow instructions.

Thanks in advance

If the modem works, my guess would be your routers either aren't configured correctly or haven't picked up a WAN IP address yet. This is assuming your computers are getting IP addresses from the router. If they are, go into your routers settings and be sure it's got everything required from your ISP. Sometimes resetting the router then clicking the renew button (most routers have that for their WAN connection) will get the IP address. The last Linksys I setup for someone took a few minutes of doing that before the router picked up the WAN IP address from the router.

I have tried renewing, restoring and rebooting my router and nothing seems to work. Would contacting my ISP and comparing the WAN settings be the best option, atm the 'Get WAN from ISP' check box is ticked with the address input boxes blanked out

Many ISPs give out IP addresses by DHCP, so your IP address will be dynamic. You could probably manually enter the information the information your computers picks up (Start, run, CMD, IPCONFIG /all; find the IP address, DNS, and gateway) into the router. But I still don't understand why your router isn't picking up the modem otherwise...

I have checked my router settings and atm it seems to be using a PPPoA WAN connection, I have tried changing this to dynamic and using the 'get IP from ISP', but the web pages still do not load
