I had motherboard graphics with an Nvidia 6150 LE with 64 shared, when i played doom it put details on Medium by default as a recomended setting. I recently bought a 7600 GT and in Doom 3 when i press "Scan hardware and apply recommended setting" it still says "Medium Detail" is the recommended. How's this??? isn't a 7600 GT is way way a better card than integrated 6150LE graphics?????????

Those scan hardware settings can sometimes mess up and give you the wrong settings for your hardware. You should be able to almost max out Doom 3 with your 7600GT.

yea, dont use those settings. use higher settings.
then again, you only have 512mb system memory. that could hold you back. add another dimm and doom 3 might correct its error.
i mean quake 4 reccomended i use high settings instead of ultra settings and my 7800gt would handle ultra fine since i had 2gb of system memory. it switched that when i got my 7900gtx (now sold w/ my rig)

Man, I can play Doom 3 on the highest settings, 1024x768(or higher, I forget right off) with no AA or AF just fine. Mind you, that's with a 256M 7600GT.

Is the Doom 3 Demo a lot less detailed than the actual game or something:confused: , Cos I can run the game fine at 1024 x 768 on ultra settings + AA + AS at around 30fps constant on my 7600GT XT.

Everyone who I have spoke to about this game finds it hard to believe the card would run it at that:confused:

Clocks are 584/1704

I think is right, cause i run it on high (even though doom's hardware scan said medium was recommended) and it plays excellent... Definatley that hardware scan of doom is kinda wrong, still i need to get another 512mb of ram to fully get the ultra-high settings, thanks guys.

I have an BFG 7600 GT OC(OC from factory) and bf2 says i should run medium, but i play with everything on high and 1280x1024 with no problems what so ever.
