help With a Dell

ok, I am a schools computer administrator so I fix these things. The School that I work for have 12 Dell Optiplex 110 in each class room. I was giving one of the optiplex to fix. They said the problem was it does not start. ok so I open it and what I saw was, some one had taken the CPU, and unpluged everything inside. So I put in a CPU in it and pluged everything back up. When it boots, it says system has changed settings and I need to go into the BIOS. Ok no problem there, only thing is that someone put a BIOS password on it. I dont know how to reset it, I tryed taking the battery but it didn't even have one in the first place. I head you can change the jumper setting to reset it but this mother board doesn't even have any jumpers like that. How can I reset the BIOS? :o

Hahaha! Seen that happen before :P Dont they have locks? ;) (looking at the specs ... oi... who, other than retards, would wanna steal that? ;))

Ask yer boss? Maybe they put one on

Almost every motherboard made since 1987 (and prolly those before too) have batteries ... and this is verified by the manual ... have a second look?
Manual said:
Reseat the battery in its socket.
The battery is a coin cell that snaps into a socket on the system board.

I know the motherboards have batteries, I'm not retarded. It has the cell slot but it doesn't have one. Thats what I meant to say. And my boss doesn't know the bios. They were never set with one.I was the one that installed them in the classes.

If you leave the battery out for more than 10 minuets that should reset the BIOS. Although it is better it use the jumper method.

Well in that case you dont have to bother resetting the password because as soon as you unplug the computer,it wont be saved

Then why ask about the password if you set it

Who In Their Right Mind Would Steal Something From A Dell Pc!
I could answer that but it's not worth my time. Instead, i'll "suggest" you stay on topic :)

Well according to Phatxam, there is no battery so that's not a problem
