Help with a old laptop

I found an old laptop in my house and im trying to get it to work with my internet. Its a IBM 600E (pentium II) but it only have a phone like hookup and not a cable hookup. So im going to try to get it to wireless. I have a Linksys Wireless-B router and a wireless card but it wont work with the computer. On the computer it says its a Windows NT/Windows 98 computer but in the box the wireless card came in it says "The wireless-B Notebook Adapter, WPC11 ver. 4 is ahigh-performance CardBus product. Therfore it will not work with Windows NT." So i'm not quite sure what to do next. Any help is greatly aprecciated.

Please keep in mind that I really dont know much about computers. Thanks
