First of all, when I first got this motherboard I had to manually set the CPU external frequency to 166 MHz just for it to realize that I had an AMD Athlon XP 2800+. After that it worked fine. Recently for no reason at all it failed POST and gave me the error "System failed due to CPU overclocking". I had to set it down to an external frequency 100 MHz just to get it to get past POST. I can set the CPU ext. freq. to 133 MHz (same as Athlon XP 2200+) if I only have one if I only have one of my 512 MB DDR memory modules installed. If I have all 3 installed it locks up during POST. I can set the ext. freq. to 166 MHz if I set the BIOS not to halt on errors. But then it either doesn't recognize all my RAM or I can't even get into windows. I an error saying my registry is corrupt. I've tried everything (clearing CMOS, every RAM and CPU external frequency, and upgrading the BIOS ) and nothing has worked. Basically I can either run at 1.24 GHz with 1.5 GB of RAM or at the speed of a 2200+ and only have 512 MB of RAM when I should be running at 2800+ with 1.5 GB of RAM like I used to! Please help. Thanks.
