Help with choice of CPU

2600k. Its more than you'll need. You can overclock it very well, and it will eat through any program. What will you use the computer for?
 
what will u use it for, the 2600k is faster at everything, the 975 is an older version of the i7, the 2600k has a newer architecture and at stock clocks it is already fester, so it will kill the other.

Ill use it for 3D modeling and games
i'm building new computer 4k $ is budget and
975 was 3x more expensive than 2600k so i just asked is it worth it?
And if u have any suggestion about computer build up to 4k pls share
 
why don't you post a build thread in the desktop section at the top of the main page, there you will get more people to help you, but i will start looking now, do you want this price with the monitors and all and how many monitors do you want, and what country are you in?
