i am looking at this HP Pavilion dv9000t laptop from costco.

can u help me configure this model to best fit me? i am up for recomendations other than HP, but my laptop has to be bought through the COSTCO website.

i know i want the 2 gigs of ram. im not sure what card to get? the 256 or 512 go 7600? and what processor should i get? the processor is the biggest thing i need help with.

PS the only game i play is World of Warcraft, so it has to play that smoothly.

so what do YOU think the best setup would be? any input will help :)

I'd go with one of the T5x00 processors(which ever bests fits your budget) and the 256MB 7600. 512MB would just be a waste with that card. As for the CPU, you could get the top-of-the-line, but it's probably more than you really need(and would probably generate a LOT of heat) Plus, for games, performance is more based upon your GPU.

thanks, i think im gonna pick the T5500(1.66GHz)

y is the 512 mb 7600 a waste? is it not usable? or just not needed? would the 512 version be better for the long run tho?

More RAM does not make the GPU go faster. It can only really utilize so much RAM. You're limited by the GPU's capabilities and overall speed.
