Help with cpu!!!

When I open up CBID it shows the Power Limit as 125 W but the current power fluctuates between 300 W and 600 W. this is not good but i want to know why. i have a screenshot:



BTW i am using Vista Ultimate x64. Any help is much appriciated!

sorry i've never used CBID, is this just identifying power limits for the CPU or entire PC?

if it's just the CPU than that sounds about right. there's no way the CPU's power use fluctuates between 300w-600w.

thanx for posting. yea i didnt think it possible either. im pretty sure it is the cpu and not the whole computer. since my cpu (and mobo) can/should only use a MAX of 125 W. Do you (or any one else) know of any other program to see the power usage of cpu?

ok i opened it again and it was in the tens of thousands of watts! i dunno wats wrong with it. maybe it is incompatible with 64bit. thanx for replying. much appriciated.
