I also have a Dell 2350 modded though. Could you explain that little better. I know that machine very well.

well i got an error code is back only one on was D so i just started pulling things 1 at a time i pulled the ide cable from the computer that goes to hard drive you can hear it boot however still no video i toook memory out get no beeps as well i have not got 1 beep with anything i did the cd roms would not work intill i removed the hard drive ide cable

i will try and explain this pc was giving to me when i hooked it up i got the error code in the back (D) so i open the computer removed all ide cables from the motherboard when i turned the pc on after that you can hear the processor starting but if you hooked the hard drive ide cable back up to the motherboard you would not hear it so then i took the ide cable back out from the motherboard and the cd roms would work but if the ide cable for the hard drive was pluged into the motherboard the cdroms would not work i never got any video at any time with this pc no beeps as well this is as fare as i went with it then posted here

Oh okay, why did you say like that in the first place :D

Sounds to me like a jumper problem. Or when you were removing all the IDE cables, did you have the computer off? If you did, did you touch the motherboard in anyway?

no just the cables and the pc was off when i did it it would seem even if i had not had a hard drive in it you would still get video?

Ooohhhh kay.. Is your RAM seated tightly? like the little white pins in the RAM's knotages? Also, see that battery? looks like a watch battery. Take that out to reset the CMOS. And make sure at the bottom of the board toward where the front USB connector meets the board should be a baby blue color. you will see two pins sticking up. There should be a little black piece that's covering that. That is your video jumper. Make sure that is there.
