Help with dual core proccesor

Hello i need help with dual core processor the thing i need help with is that my computer is dual core and i have 2.5 ghz and i want to play assasin creed on fastest it should work but it says that it doesn't work on fastest and i was wondering does dual core double your ghz like 2.5+2.5 ghz if so how can i do that and how do i activate the other core part please help i will be very happy if you do.
 
Thank you then i would like to ask you how can i activate the other core since assasin creed needs like2.7 for fastest and i would like to play that game please help me with this problem i would be very grateful.
 
Both cores are working at 2.5ghz but you need both at 2.7ghz.
Thus you either need to buy a new processor OR overclock your 2.5ghz process to 2.7ghz to play at max.


You will need to do some reading on overclocking and buy a aftermarket cooler to avoid over heating your chip.
 
You are using them both. The game requires a dual core @ 2.7ghz. You are only at 2.5ghz so it is not fast enough.

You don't need to "activate" them or anything. They're all automatically in use, so you don't have to worry about that. Also, what dual-core do you have? Many games give conservative figures, for example the requirement could be 2.7GHz AMD Athlon and they've simply used that CPU as a benchmark since it's the slowest mainstream CPU out there; if you have a 7-series Athlon X2 or Intel C2D chances are you don't need that fast CPU. Also, 200MHz shouldn't make a significant difference; I'm pretty sure it won't bottleneck it seriously enough to make a significant difference.
 
yeah assassins creed is not going to lag because of your processor. the biggest impact on your frames per second will be your video card.

It doesn't work like that. It just splits up and does it's own thing. a dual core is split into two so say if it was 2.5GHz it would be 1.25GHz single. They both equal up to 2.5GHz. Depending on the proccessor you have it should be quick enough to run. (But sometimes it could be your internet speed if you play online.)
