Help with DVD-R to PC data transfer

There is one file on the data dvd-r that was titled in quotation marks. This file will not copy/paste from the dvd-r to my PC because of what I assume is the quotation marks in the title. The PC or any audio program refuses to even read the wav file. It does not let you rename the files on the dvd-r. I tried copying/pasting to a flash drive instead. Same "Filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect" error message. A little help? Thanks.

It is a "computer essentials" brand dvd-r. Self made, though not by me. The data dvd was burnt roughly 9 years ago. It contains hundreds of wav files, the master copy of multitrack recording studio sessions I had done.
