HELP with external storage please

I'm completely baffled by where my storage space has gone on two of my Seagate external hard drives they are 2 tb drives and I have less than 80 GB left yet when I look at whats taking up the space I can only find 200 gb used so where is the other 1700 GB at ? I m lost where to clear space. any help will be appreciated Thank you

Scan the drive with WinDirStat and see what is taking up the space.

disk management

You can right click My computer>manage>disk management to see what happens. I assume your missed space just only became unallocated space or unformatted. You can just create a new partition use disk management or merge the unallocated space into another partition. more inforamtion: http://www.disk-partition.com/help/merge-partition.html
