Help with finding a video card.

I help finding new Video card for HP Pavilion Elite e9120f pc that is smaller then the Geforce GTS 250 I bought it is way to big for the computer. So I'm looking for a video card that is smaller then the GTS 250 but works just as good??
 
Well there is the 4850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102824 same power as the GTS 250 but a little smaller. If you need something cheaper then the 4670 is a nice card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102854 can play most games on decent settings. Also there is the 9800gt http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150323 which is a pretty good card probably a little smaller then the 4850.


Don't you also need a new case or are you going to keep that power supply out side of the case. If you plane on using your 300w power supply then your pretty much at you limit already.
 
I plan on keeping the PSU outside of the case. It is just easier that way. And the psu is sitting on a stable surface where it cant be knocked over easily so yeah. But about the graphics cards. The 4850 seems nice but I dont really like the reviews it got about dieing after 2 months. So far I like the reviews of the 9800GT but how much powerful is it then the one I currently have a radeon HD 4350? Because, I believe I was about to get a 9800GT but the employee at frys said that it will make an improvement but not really one that you can see all that much. But, then again he said the GTS 250 would fit in the computer with no problem so ya lol..what is your opinion on this card compared to the stock one?

Oh and also My budget is somewhat high for this new graphics card since im returning it for my money. so its about

Just a heads up, if you start replacing parts on a prebuilt PC you risk having the OS disable itself. Most of the parts that come with the big name computers like Dell and HP are proprietary, which causes problems.

Yeah I know thats why im keeping those changes to a minimum I never had a problem with just changing the graphics card and PSU so yeah. Thats all I want to change now. I was thinking of a lot more changes but I then heard of all those risks. Ill save all that for later when I start to build my own computer.

Well, I've had my 4850 for a good deal over 2 months and its never so much as hiccuped as far as hardware problems go. The 4850 is a more powerful card than the 9800GT, but either/or is a wide margin better than a 4350, which is a pretty terrible gaming card. The GTS250 is about on par with the 4850. Go with whichever will fit/you can get cheaper.

where did you get your 4850??
 
Ok so I'm getting a little confused with this the HD radeon 4850 that was linked looks different then the one that I get when I look it up on google. I found this model that shows up alot I like its thin design but is it the same thing?

The red one is the official ATI/AMD version of the 4850(I think). It is just as good but probably doesn't have as good cooling. The ATI one is probably going to be hard to find and will probably cost more then the others.
