Help With First Build

Hi guys,

I was on here last month and I had a build all put together but decided to wait. I've come up with another $600 ($1,800 budget now) and I want some advice as to where to put this money. I want this to be a powerhouse, but not solely a gaming machine.

Anyway, here's my ideas:

So I have some questions:

Is everything compatible?
Will it all fit?
Will it run cool enough?
Is Windows 7 64-bit OEM okay?
Is the PLEXTOR OEM drive okay (will I be able to play and write Blu-Ray out of the box)?

Last but not least, any changes or suggestions are very much appreciated.
 
i7 960 is a complete waste, just get an i7 930, overclock it if you want:

Speaking of overclocking, could you link me a an article on it? I have no idea on how to do that and if I'm gonna get the 930 I would definitely like to.

Am I going to need to get an aftermarket heatsink or other way to cool it?
 
Yes if you have the money then why not get an SSD. have a look on newegg, try to stick to ones with the "sandforce" controller.
 
Alright, looks like I'll definitely be investing in an SSD. If I'm going to be overclocking is there any extra cooling I'll need?

Vertex uses Samsung memory, Agility uses Micron memory. The G.skill would be my drive of choice of those due to their great support and the price.

Overclocking is pretty hard to screw up, at or near stock voltages if your chip is anywhere near decent you should be able to hit ~3.4Ghz.
