Hi all.:) I am trying to build a gaming pc for myself and will play Call of Duty 4 and similar games. I am not looking to build something out of this world but something decent. My budget is about $1000 more or less. I might be interested in crossfire but I have not decided on the video card that I want to use yet. This is what I have so far for an Intel build and I also have an AMD build. I am worried that maybe some of this might not be compadible. Tell me what you think. Haven't decided on which of the 2 AMD MoBo's to pick and CPU. any recommendations?

I just built a computer with the ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe and the AMD 9950 processor. And, in my opinion, you just can't go wrong with that. Both are solid products, and ran well from the start, and with the AMD, you'd be getting a much better processor for much less. Intel is blatantly overpriced. If i were you, i'd go with that build. Plus, the MB has the 790FX chipset, which means you don't have to deal with the hassle of onboard video.
Hope this helps.

So you say i should go for the AMD Phenom 9950 with the ASUS M3A79-T.:)

Do you think the power supply if sufficient for crossfire? should i go higher or lower than the 850W?

Any recommendations on tha ATI radeon video card for crossfire at a decent price? I want to be able to play Call of Duty 4 with no problem.

I would suggest a Intel Core2 E8500 instead
It will be currently better for gaming though I would prefer the Q6600 in a gaming rig because the computer would be used for multi-tasking aswell

I know that a Radeon X300 can play Battlefield 2 without any problems
