he built this back in 2008, I am needing to replace this on a budget around 450-500 dollars any suggestions, thanks in advanced.:)
 
Keep case, DVD burner, HDD, PSU.

However, $500 budget is a bit low if CPU and Mobo need to be change.

May be you just upgrade to 120GB SSD ($110), + 2 x 4GB RAM ($60) + GTX 760 ($250)
