So I have a M68MT-S2P motherboard from manufacturing company gigabyte. It has an NVIDIA GeForce 7025/nForce 630a graphics card already in it. But I want to put a better one in it without buying a new motherboard is it possible to put a GeForce 8400 GS or better to replace the current one?

PCI-e card and PSU

thanks about the pci-e card I will try it. As for th PSU I currently have a 115W max but I'm gonna buy a Thermaltake TR2 W0388RU 600W ATX 12V v2.2 Power Supply Unit that has a max of 600W. I will reply to see it works pretty sure it will though.

If you haven't got the unit yet, don't. Thermaltake units aren't exactly the greatest, and for the price, or a little extra, you would be better going for a better brand. Even if you got say, as an example, a 500W SeaSonic unit, it would be a much better unit than the Thermaltake, even though on paper it has 100W less

psu

thanks for the advice on the seasonic. so i narrowed it down to two psu. The COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M600 RS-600-AMBA-D3 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply or the SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply. Are they both compatible with my motherboard. I don't know this stuff.

SeaSonic every day of the week, it knocks the socks off the CoolerMaster unit.
