Help!
I have a HP d530 tower and have been having nothing but problems
When it would not boot, I tried taking out ram. It boots fine after I took out one of the ram chips. I download the mem test program and the one ram chip passes now (256m) I have windows xp on it and have formatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows xp but I still get system error messages and blue screens
I will attach some of the logs.

This is one error:
Error code 000000d1, parameter1 24448b05, parameter2 00000005, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 f948760d.

Most crashes are due to Drivers not up to date, or even Windows Security Updates (and Service Packs) not completed
Some are caused by specific programs such as Norton or AVG Antivirus (sometimes) And can be a multitude of any other programs usually with high system resource

In your case it just sounds like faulty Ram
Because you mentioned "256" It probably is that, as 256meg is so small (and generally old) It would be preferred to update to a new 512Meg card (or 2 x 512Meg Ram Cards)

You can analyse Minidumps yourself with a small program called: WhoCrashed
But it really just gives a specific file that corrupted which could be for many reasons

Replace the Ram (ideally all of the installed Ram cards)
