i have a slightly older apple ibook with the 12.1 inch screen. It says that the type of ram it takes is a 200 pin so-dimm DDR pc2100 . What my question is, is can i put a faster speed in there say a ,pc2700 or 3200, and not cause problems? I only have one slot to put ram in, so i am thinking of getting a 1gb stick. i found some on newegg, but not for sure if they will work. i know ddr2 will not fit, so i have to stay with ddr1.

heres a link

if this wont work, then do you guys have a link to something that will, or at least be cheaper? thanks!!

That link you posted isn't working, although first you should check what the maximum amount of ram your ibook can hold is, then just get 200 pin so-dimm DDR PC2100 ram of your choice.
I think that virtually any of these will work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...1+1327823919&Submit=ENE&Nty=1&SubCategory=551 so long as they aren't above the max capacity of your laptop

If you're not entirely sure what to get, then you can use the crucial memory advisor: http://www.crucial.com/ and that will tell you exactly what you can buy that will work
