I just formatted my hd for a clean install and everything went fine. Now its time to install win98se and i keep getting a "invalid system disk" insert and retry notice when i put in the boot up floppy and restart. no prompts here. How do i get around this so i can start installing the os? Thanks.

In order to install 98, you need to boot with the boot floppy and select CD-RAM enabled. then, when it gets to A:\ then you direct it to your CD-ROM drive and type "INSTALL".

Im trying with the boot floppy and all i get is the invalid disk message. I have 3 boot floppys and its the same with all.

The desktops i have dont have the floppy drives, sorry. Any way to get a dos prompt otherwise? Any way to do this by going into f2 setup?

I found a program at majorgeek.com "ultimate boot cd" and maybe that will bet me going. supposed to do the same thing a floppy does but on cd instead.
