Help with L2 Cache

Hey im thinking of getting a Sony Vaio Z series and i was wondering if it would be best to get the processor with the bigger L2 cache [Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P9600 (2.66GHz)] rather than the [Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.40GHz)]. is it realy worth the extra 250$? or will the performance boost be negligible?

I'd be willing to bet alot of cash that me, you or anyone else couldn't tell the differnce between the two CPUs without benmarking.

I doubt you could really tell the difference in day to day tasks, maybe for high level entertainment yes. If you are going out of budget to get it then no.
