Help with mapping XP drive to 7 drive

Hey guys! I have an idea but I don't know if this will work. I want to map my desktop's network drive (Windows XP) to my Acer Aspire One D260 (Windows 7), but i wan to be able to take my laptop to other wifi networks, like a Library. Can I use LogMeIn Hamachi to connect the computers? If not how would I do this?
