help with monitor problem

my monitor is really dark but only when i goto play a game... my question is why is this on my desktop its cherry it looks good its bright and clear and as soon as i start up a game it gets almost total black... i have gone into the game options and everything is as high as it can go <the gamma and brightness>... so is there something im doing wrong or is it time for a new monitor?
 
i doubt its your monitor if it works with everything else, although i do not know what could be causing it.
 
if its one game in particular maybe you should try changing the gamma settings in the graphics options.
in fact it might be all your games because i think that your desktop might have a different gamma setting than the games, and the games revert to a different setting

Did you read his full post? He stated that he tried changing the gamma and brightness

Ofcorse, people use to do with the knowledge they have. Hope the cpu resources were using high so the game need much resources to play or any ic problems may occured. Anyhow you need to show it to a computer doctor.

This has nothing to do with the cpu and a "computer docter" will cost you 200$.


Anyways there should be settines for your actully moniter that should be jacked up, are there are buttons or a panel on the front of it?
 
yea i turned everything like half way then set the desktop and because it resets everytime i change my desktop or to a game i kinda fixed it... but if there is a better solution please let me know cause it really sucks the way im goin now
