Help with my Custom BuilD!

Hey everybody, Im looking for some help.
I am not that great with computers hardware wise, so im pretty dumb when it comes to this stuff. Im looking to build a computer that will work great with all my video editing needs...like AAE, Photoshop, Sony Vegas, ETC.

I have done some research and I wonder what you guys think of this?!?
Also will I need to get warrantys?& and will this all work togethor properly

Everything looks good to me. For about $30 more you could get a 750gb hdd and still be 32mb cache. I recommend the samsung.
 
Welcome to the forum! That looks like a pretty good rig. If you're going to use Vista (or even XP since it's for video editing) you'll probably find yourself wanting 4GB of RAM.
 
thanks for the input, anymore is welcomed. I just want to make sure before I make this huge purchase.

Dont forget you need 64bit if your going for 4gb of ram. Personally I would stick with 32bit and get 3gb b/c 2gb isn't really enough and there are some compat issues with 64bit.
 
looks solid. the RAM is really reliable, have it running in 3 builds I have done. actually it might have failed once. I dont know

Don't listen to this guy. You want 2x1GB sticks or 2x2GB sticks. 32-bit operating systems can address up to 4GB of RAM. My dad's computer, for instance, has your motherboard, a 512MB vidya card, and 2x2GB sticks of RAM. Windows XP 32-bit recognizes 3.5GB for him.

Moreover, there are no 1.5GB sticks, so to get 3GB exactly, you'd need 3 1GB sticks (causing you to lose dual-channel capability), or 2 512MB and 2 1GB (as expensive/more expensive than 4GB, can cause compatibility issues, strains your memory controller).

In short, trying to get 3GB exactly is asinine.

If you do want more than 2 GB, you'll want this.

well... I just bought that. Thanks for the help guys, I wouldnt have been able to make this decision
 
Good choice. That's the same set I used with my dad's build (I also used the same motherboard as you) and they're working great together. It even set the proper voltage on its own.
