Hey guys. Been a while since I've needed help. But I need it now.
My laptop is currently out of service until a new external enclosure comes in so I can copy over some files. So, I went to turn on my old desktop (which has been sitting in the corner for a month) and I get no response.
There is no beeping, and no whirring of fans. This leads me to believe that the PSU is dead. So, I have this other desktop that has a dead motherboard, and grab the PSU out of it. I hook up the main connector to the motherboard, and one to my hdd. Then, when I plug it into the wall, it just rings this really high pitch ring.
So, I can't get it to work with this PSU. They are both old OEM computers, but that shouldn't really matter. So. Ideas?
And I feel like I may have left out some stuff, so just let me know and I will tell you anything else that you need to know.
