Hey, I'm thinking of building a computer with these specs:

Intel Core i7 2600K
eVGA Z68 SLI Motherboard
eVGA GTS 450 Video Card
Western Digital 1TB 7200rpm
Gskill Ripjaws 8gb PC3-12800
Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler
NZXT H2 Classic Case
Corsair 550w Power Supply

Just mostly wondering if everything here is compatible.. And I'll probably be adding on another GTS 450 down the road. Would this cooler be alright for OC's to around 4.5ghz? Thanks.

Your Video card is bringing down your system. Even with 2 of them. It would be better to spend the money now on one more powerful video card.

Yeah I was thinking that too, however I already have a GTS 450 from my old system that I'd just use for now. Is there any mid range Nvidia card you'd recommend? thanks for the quick reply btw :)

Probably no more than $250. I was looking at the eVGA GeForce GTX 560 SuperClocked 2GB, unless there's a better deal you'd recommend.

I dont see it addressed yet, but your cooler is not the best there. The V6GT is better than the V8. Also the CM212+ is better. Either will run way better than the V8 does.

also to add another 450 you'd need a better psu, and also that isn't the best mobo, a 160-170 buck gigabyte or asus would probably be just as effective, really most things over that price just add little luxuries mainly in the audio and lan and Bluetooth area. also you will want to buy the hdd from best buy or fry's or somewhere other than newegg or tiger direct and some other places as flooding in thailand or wherever they are made has sky-rocketed their prices atm. also what is this build for as the i7 only beats the i5 in a very small group of apps atm and for a while really.
