Ok i have a TDK CDRW5200B and its worked nicely and all but i am unable to play DVD-ROM games. Anyway i was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151154 and it seems VERY cheap for so much technology packed into it. Am i not interpreting this right it reads cd and dvd rom. And it writes cd-r's and such!?!?! I mean its been a while since ive looked at drives like 4 years or so. Is this a good drive and such? Also it says its SATA, and i looked up SATA and found the ribbon cable and the like i guess new imrpove small version cable, will it come with both when it arrives(If i buy it)?

To me it looks like an interna sata dvd burner Oem .
if you have the sata interface in your computer then you can use this. it does not come with software or anything wires nothing. it is oem which means it comes bare as you see it .
this drive will read and write dvd and cds.
you can probably go to a close circuit city , best buy or wal mart and find a dvd burner local to you without spending much more. depend sif you are in a rush. if i can get it in a local store for the same or within 5 bucks i do it. if there any issues you dont have to ship it or anything good luck

If you system has a Athlon XP 2400 Socket A, I dont think that you will have Sata ports. Just get a good IDE drive.

He has a CDRW trying to install a game thats on a DVD, isnt going to happen. He need to get a DVD-rom or DVD burner.
