Hello Everyone, My hp a6300f just died. I was wanting to use the same computer case for my new build and wanted to get some advice on the
"ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard and AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core CPU " from Tiger Direct. I'm pretty sure the new mobo will fit in the hp case but read that there my be a Problem connecting the power/reset plug. I have never attempted a build before and can use all the help I can get. I'm excited about building my own machine!! If any of you guys have have any thoughts please let me know.

Thanks

i've few experienced myself but not sure about your perticular problem.

these manufactures use special pins and cables that uses petit cables, but it's not hard to modify them or you can spent another $5 or so and replace the cable but pictures will help us a lot to fix it.

you will be better off buying a new case too. The HP cases very rarely have an adequite supply of airflow to cool a half decent system. You will expperience a longer system life if you just get an aftermarket case now.

Number of pins on FP1 ??

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how many pins are on the ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard FP1 terminal? The hp mobo has 9 pins on the terminal. Also, does anyone have a close of pic of the ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard where you can see the power/reset connection "FP1" . I really would like to use the hp case and just a an extra fan.

Thanks for all your help.
