The first thing I want to do is get my memory to run at T1. I was running 3gigs using all four slots and now I'm only running 2gigs using two slots due to problems with AMD 64. When I set my memory to the T1 setting my pc will not boot . Everything comes on but it sounds like the drives don't start and the monitior will not come on. This is my system maybe someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong thanks.

My System

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
Amd 64x2 4400+ dual core cpu
Ultra 800 watt
2 Evga 7900gs Pci express cards
2 gigs Corsair Value memory ( 2 x 1024 )
Pri. HD WD 10,000 rpm 74gb sata raptor
Sec > HD WD 7200 rpm 250gb sata 2
Samsung DL DVD Burner with Lightscribe
NEC DL DVD burner
Case Aspire Navigator

In the BIOS you have the opition to set your memory to a timing of T1 or T2 command or leave it on auto . At the T1 setting it should give you a 10% increase in performance. Does anyone know of a simple way to learn how to overclock the amd 4400 with a A8N32 sli deluxe board. I will keep it on air cooling so I don't want to overclock alot. Thanks

The only thing I've done at this point is raise the DDR vcore voltage to 2.70 and use the AI booster but as far as I can tell I did not see any improvements. Iwas wondering if there was a step by step document that would show how to set the bios for overclocking. Thanks for the help it is much appreciated.

In order to use the 1T setting you would probably have to set the memory to run at a lower clockspeed. Have you tested using the 1T setting with the everything else at stock settings?

What do you mean by "T1"?

Actually it's 1T, and it's the command rate of the memory. Usually it's 2T at stock settings, and changing it to 1T will tighten the timings which should make the memory faster.
