Help with partial build

Alright everyone, this morning my motherboard died on me. I got up this morning and turned it on, it fired up, lights came on but no boot-up "beep", monitors stayed black and keyboard didn't light up.:(

So, I figure if I'm going to go through the hassle of tearing apart my computer and replacing the motherboard, I may as well just upgrade it.

I'll re-use my 2 hard drives (160 gig raptor, 320 gig 7200rpm), 2 cd/dvd drives/burners, sound card and power supply.

What I need:

#1: Case (I want a full tower)
#2: Moterboard (obviously, that's where this all started :P. I want USB 3.0 ports! nothing over the top, but not a POS either)
#3: Processor (Intel only please! Also want quad core i5/7)
#4: Graphics card (doesn't have to be extreme, I don't game a lot anymore and mostly just need it for photo/video editing)
#5: RAM (at least 8 gigs, DDR3 1333 or 1600 or higher)

To help you decide on what I should get, I'm a photographer/videographer, so my system needs to be able to run programs like photoshop, lightroom, premiere ect with ease, editing photos/videos and rendering the videos.

I don't game much anymore, I would like to get into it again someday, maybe, but I don't need to design my system for that.

Budget: The lower the better lol. I'm hoping for the 600ish and below range.

Did you by chance try resetting the cmos by removing the cmos battery? Maybe the board isn't dead yet!
 
Unplug power from the power supply, remove the cmos battery, press the power button on the case a few times to discharge any remaining power then wait 5 minutes. Then reinsert battery and reconnect power and try booting up and see what happens. If still no beeps then its a dead mobo. Also check for loose power connections especially the 4/8 pin cpu power connector.

I was looking forward to getting an updated system though :( LOL! Oh well, maybe in a few months :)

LOL! If I can land a steady job soon and not just the photography then I will. Till then, I'll stick with this out dated decent set-up ;)
 
Glad you got it going again. :good: Resetting the cmos is the first thing you try when the pc won't boot up.
