you know how in some websites when you log on, you can choose for your computer to keep you logged in even though you've turned off your computer? my problem is that i choose these options and after i turn off then turn on my computer again, it doesn't keep me logged on, and i have to type in my log in name and password over and over again! i've already been to tools, internet options, privacy, accept all cookies, and i still get logged off. is there any other way to keep me logged on, because it kind of annoys me when i have to keep logging back on like 5 websites everyday. i use internet explorer if that helps.
thank you.

what sites are they? maybe they keep your ip address logged, and keep you logged in according to that, then when you restart if you have a dynamic IP it will change, although i don't know of anywhere that does, it's just a thought

Are you properly shitting it down, (start>shutdown>shutdown then waiting) otherwise it doesn't save your settings so it will probably not save them from the ram to the HDD, thus losing them.
I think

ya i do wait, i turn it off before i go to bed then the next afternoon i open it up again. but something weird just happened when i joined this forum, i made a post about what determines your pc's speed and luiluiboy suggested to go to start>run>(type in) msconfig>startup> and uncheck all of them items i don't need. i did that and the next morning i was still logged in into all the websites i logged into...

I don't get it, it should be fixable problem. Question(s) though, what browser are you using...oh...and do you have the cookies enabled on the browser. Otherwise it won't remember you for sure.
If you recently cleared all the Cache, Cookies and History etc then you might need to log onto the forum and have cookies enabled. Also, there should be a 'Remember Me' check box like the one on this forum...check it.
