Help with slow internet

Hey all! Ok I'm using my linksys wireless router...it says it pickin up fair/good connection through my wireless network, however my internet is running really slow. Any ideas whats wrong and what I can do to solve this issue. thanks!:cool:
 
lately all the internetss have been slow. dial up harldy works sometimes. somtimes not ata all. This got better between christmas and newyears eve, then it got worse. i think all the servers are really filled up.
 
how long has it been slowfor just maybe the service provider. I know time warner is very slow at times if not just simpley reset the router by unpluging waiting 30 seconds and then plugging it back in

its been slow for about 1-2 weeks comcast high speed is my provider
 
To determine if it's your wirerless conenction or your ISP you need to connect the box to the router via an ethernet cable. If this improves the situation which i think it might then you need to improve yoru wireless signal stregth. Google can help with this. Also try disabling security software and firewalls to see that improves the situation as well.
 
I'm on dialup(Yes I know sad don't make fun of me :P) and every time i do something for a while it disconnects and when i reconnect it's always limited connectivity or Local and won't change and then i got to use this crapy Netzero which i hate

ya i think i mite have something to do with my wireless card cuz i have an xbox connected through my wireless network and it runs fine.....any suggestions?

dont go wireless or get a faster card. Comcast has been slow for a while now. IDK wtf is going on with the tubes :(
 
I read that comcast and a few others will be cutting peoples connection speeds if they download over a certain amount. That might be your problem.

But, if you don't download over 3 gigs a month, then I doubt it. But with comcast (the devil) you never know.
 
ok I found out that it isnt my internet connection provider thats slow. It says i have very good to good wireless connection, but the internet is still slow? hmmm wat should I do???? help pleasse!!! thanks guys! :D
