When i start up my desktop, I get a screen saying that windows didnt shu down properly and asks me what i want to do (safe mode, safe with command, last know good config, normally).

Which ever option i pick, it always flicks to the next screen then restarts the computer and the process starts over again!

Nothing has changed....so any ideas what to do? Any help would be appreciated!!

Thought that might be my only option....any others?

Also, how easy owuld it be to transfer all my data to my laptop before that?

well, normally when your computer is going thorugh a trouble, you can start up in a safe mode,,, but in this case if thats not possible,...

may be you get a second computer and just move over the whole hard drive,,, i guess that might be an idea
change this hard drive into a slave and connect to other pc

or if you have some hard drive - to - external thing, whatever its called, you can connect directly to your laptop...
if you don't have this, may be you can buy it too,

and i hope you know how to format your computer and all that crap, right,? then i guess your computer can be easilly fixed my formatting

lot of people actually format their computers like once a month ^^;;

Well, it seems like you really can't do anything...

Have you gone through a repair with the OS disk? Always an option.

Oh, and it doesn't seem like you'll be able to do anything else or any of the options Charles_Lee said, because you can't even get into your OS right?

Okay, so I've now plugged the harddrive into my laptop via a usb harddrive case....device manager detects that its there as does the usb port, but it doesnt appear in my computer, and when i look, the computer just freezes til i remove the harddrive again...

HELP PLEASE!!
