Hello, i'm looking to upgrade my computer's video. I have an Integrated nVIDIA GeForce 6150 Graphics Controller, but i also have a PCI Express x16 slot. Can i put in a video card on my motherboard useing this slot?

Yes you can install a PCI-E x16 video card in your computer, what I would watch out for however is that the video card you choose is compatible with your power supply (meaning that the PSU has enough power for the card), and that it will physically fit in your case.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to tell how many watts my PSU is on my computer without haveing to open the case?

You could look at the manual/website if you remember the model of the PSU. Otherwise, just open up the case and the wattage should be listed on the side of the PSU. It only takes a few secs.

I have a 300w PSU from what i've found, but i am planing on putting a 500w PSU in soon. I was planing on getting an XFX 8800 GT. Could that run on a 300w PSU or should i wait and get the PSU first?
