Help with windows 7 computer that won't start

So after running the Avast Smart Scan it recommended I purchase Avast Clean up( Grime fighter) to remove some minor issues and have better performance so I did well when I go to restart my computer I get a message that says Windows has failed to start so I run a system restore it goes through and says restore has failed.So I can't get to my control; panel because my windows will not start does anyone know how I can remove the Avast program from computer any help will be appreciated so much

Try booting to safe mode with networking and uninstall both of this programs as they are garbage.
 
F8 should give you safe mode. Do you have access to a windows 7 install cd? If you do you can access recovery options and choose to do a system restore back to before you ran that program. Try doing the f8 button again.

You need to wait for the computer to go past the initial POST and then spam F8 afterwards for Windows to recognize you want Advanced Startup Options.
 
safe mode first of coarse. I find sometimes my computer doesn't see the correct hard drive and gives an error sign. Hold down your booting order key at startup and make sure it's booting to the correct HD. If you do get it open be sure to make a mirror image and a recovery disk. this is absolutely essential if you do not have the original OS disk.
