ok so there are two windows login screen but i cant seem to change my login screen from classic to the other one i tried to check the box from users accounts but didnt work and i have no idea how to change it so can anyone help me?
i would really appreciate it thank you!

umm windows XP trying to change to different login screen instead the one where you have to type the name to log in. checked the user account " change the way you log in " setting, but its still the same.

think he wants a admin account John.
sign with each if needed. create a new account.
you have to have admin rights on one of them.
if it works you might want to delete the old because of corruption.
I myself have 3 back up admin accounts. they are back doors with strong
passwords. similar has happened to me. corruption im positive.

create the new account and find out.

What you want is the default login screen when you install windows. However, if your the only user on the computer and not worried about using passwords then just set it to boot directly to desktop without using the welcome screen. Login to your account, go to control panel and click on user accounts, click on change the way users log on or off. On the next screen make sure both boxes are checked.
