Help!!!

I have a new computer with ASUS P5B Deluxe, Seagate 500GB HDD...But I bought 4gb RAM, but when I install a windows he tells me that I have just 3gb. I tried vith windows vista, with windows xp profesional x64 edition, but is not working. And I have a Intel Core2 duo 2.66ghz, but is working at 2.13ghz. WHAT I CAN TO DO????? PLEASE HELPPPP

first off, do you have four 1gb sticks or two 2gb sticks? if you have four then progressively take one out, start the computer, and see if it still says 3gb. if one of the sticks is bad, then taking it out will tell you which one

I have 1bg sticks. I tryed all the sticks and all are good

and 64 bit windows only accepted 3gb as well? if so, and your also having problems with your proc speed, your motherboard might be too old or might even be broken

I have a motherboard ASUS P5B who suports 8gb ram, and it`s new i don`t think so that is broken

try 1GB RAM on each RAM slot. See if you can boot up

What isn't? Try running each stick and booting up. One bad stick could make 1GB disappear
