help !

hey i was looking for help as my pc has just started to die.

i have a asus p5n-t deluxe motherboard
a 8800 gts 256 graphics card
intel dual core e6850
and crosair cm2x1024-6400c4 ram.

the problem is that when i start the machine it is genrealy realy slow.
but is very slow when it shows the bios post when the pc is turned on it stays at this screen for about 5 minutes.it shows the name and the info about my processer and ram but then stops on the bit as it waits for the info about the sata connentions.

can some save me lol

Check all your start up programs.

Disk cleanup

Disk defrag

Spybot scan

Ad-aware scan

Virus scan.

Try all of those and see if anything improves.

You'd be surprised what a disk defrag can do for your pc loading speed once it gets everything in the hd back in place.
